Erik & Courtney Legenhausen opened Lotus Jewelry Studio in 2007. Their vision was to create a line of handmade products that would reflect the latest trends, while upholding the quality that was fostered by their background as fine jewelers. They also had a dream of providing an avenue for other artists to come and earn a living under Lotus’ roof. Over the past 10 years, they turned their basement business into a thriving company that provides their unique pieces to thousands of retailers, both large and small, across the globe. Their wholesale division continues to thrive and expand in new and exciting markets, meeting the needs of cost conscious buyers wanting extraordinary fashion accessories.

Today, the company continues to expand and is fueled by the many artists that construct each of their pieces by hand in their Baltimore, MD based facility. Using ethically sourced stones and materials, the Lotus line is bursting with beautiful color pairings, high quality fabrication and stunning designs that have become that hallmark of LJS. They believe in making their high quality pieces affordable so they can be accessible to all!

I am so excited to share this with you! I have exciting news and here is the story behind it. My wife Courtney and I started Lotus Jewelry Studio 16 years ago and quickly found our home in the Gift industry. Throughout those years we have grown our business and formed memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

During this past show season Jan-Feb of 2022 I was standing in our Vegas showroom thinking about all the opportunity that is available in the Gift channel. I kept hearing customers repeating “whats new?”. Over and over...for years this has been the million dollar question. The answer seemed to be “well here's a great new handbag line” or “here are some new candle scents” but what was truly new?

I had the idea to try to use my relationships and knowledge of the industry to bring customers something that's truly “NEW”! I got home from the show season and began to research products that I could bring to market. I went through so many product ideas but they all had some issue that I have encountered or seen before. Nothing was just right.

I wanted a product that checked all the boxes like: easy to ship, made in the USA, great price point, fits into EVERY type of store, something fun and exciting, a product that's engaging to sell, has mass appeal etc...

Then it hit me! The one thing that brings us all together at a show is that end of the day cocktail! That was it...it was going to be cocktail related. I then hit the ground running. I hired a food scientist and together we developed 6 different single serve craft cocktail mixes. In order to check all those boxes I wanted it to be a flat light packet so dry mix it was. And with that the Brand Noble Mick's was officially born.

We developed 6 amazing cocktail mixes (Moscow Mule, Cosmo, Paloma, Margarita, Bloody Mary and Old Fashioned) They are made to “Craft Your Own Cocktail” You can grab a single packet and make a Bloody Mary at a tailgate or camping with just water, a single serve packet and spirit. Then I started the package design and branding. I know this was an important step because in our industry aesthetics is everything. A design that was appealing to men and women, giftable and memorable.

I reached out to some of my favorite rep groups and secured exclusive partnerships. We were getting closer to sharing this new idea with customers. This tiny seed of an idea was starting to come together!

So here we are after a tremendous brand launch. Overwhelmed and humbled by the amazing reception of this new product during the Summer trade show season. We are going full speed ahead and doing our best to get cocktails into everyone's hands. As we move into the last quarter of 2022 please be patient as we scale up production to service all our new amazing retail partners. Besides shipping all these orders we are working on brand new cocktails, some exciting gift sets as well as multi serving packages. Stay tuned!
